Mercurio's Journey to Shadyside

The publicity from our national and local awards began to drive Pittsburghers to Kittanning for their gelato fix. As the years passed, the majority of Mulberry Street Creamery's customers were making the trip from the city. The Mercurio family recognized these committed gelato addicts and decided to bring the product to them. In the spring of 2005, Mulberry Street Creamery moved its retail location to Pittsburgh, PA in Shadyside where it is known as Mercurio's Mulberry Creamery. Mercurio's Mulberry Creamery is the gelateria that most customers have come to know and love. All gelato is still made fresh daily at the Mulberry Street Creamery in Kittanning and then delivered to the Shadyside store.
